Summer update on Carpenters Wood

We had another delivery of native broadleaf trees to plant in a different section of the wood.

A further 20 trees have also been planted dotted around the wood by the Three Rivers Team.

Over the Summer months the paths in Carpenters Wood were, as usual, in danger of becoming overgrown.

Many paths were cleared by the volunteers. For some, we were able to deploy our new brush cutter (bought for us by Three Rivers) to assist in this task, which substantially increased the amount of work we were able to do.

This Summer we were also able to refurbish the 3 benches that were put in place in 2014 by the volunteers. We believe this has prolonged their life, and they certainly look smarter. The one pictured is in Hillas Wood.
